A conundrum of grapes in this blended wine. A little toasty on the nose with vanilla, marzipan, some fragrant floral presence but not to much. on the palate the acidity surprises you in a refreshing, wonderful way. you expect that the nose is leding you into another barrel but this is not the case. The sides of the palate are greeted gratefully with really nice acidity that lightens the wine. It’s 12.5% alc. is delightful. the fruit, once you’ve moved it back up to the front of the palate expresses meadow flowers and stone fruit….a minerality attacks the sides of the palate nicely and the finish is lengthy and not to weighty. A great wine nicely chilled on a hot summer day.
